PRACTICAL TRAININGS FOR USING THE SEED+ PLATFORM TO ISSUE VETERINARY CERTIFICATES UNDER CEFTA COMMENCED

03/10/2023

Organized by the Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF) and the CEFTA Secretariat and supported by the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia and the Private Sector Regional Integration Support Activity (PSRISA), a three-day SEED+ CAMPAIGN FOR FAST LEARNING AND TRAINING FOR VETERINARY CERTIFICATES started today at the premises of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia.
The practical training for economic operators and veterinary inspectors related to issuing veterinary health certificates in the SEED+/CEFTA TRACES software aims to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills necessary for proficient navigation and use of the SEED+ platform to facilitate trade in animals and animal products in the framework of CEFTA. It ensures compliance with veterinary health and safety standards.
The training includes an in-depth understanding of software features, including key aspects such as parcel registration, certificate template management, entering relevant data, arranging necessary documentation, and submitting applications for health certificates. Participants will also be guided through the complexities of various types of health certificates, specific requirements for different goods, and related regulatory frameworks.
The broader scope of the training involves enhancing participants' ability to accurately assess the health status of animals or animal products intended for export or import, preventing disease transmission, and promoting food safety.
By the end of the training, participants will gain expertise in efficient operation of the SEED+/CEFTA TRACES platform, streamlining trade procedures, safeguarding animal health, public health, and strengthening their roles as stakeholders in regional trade.
The training sessions include registered economic operators from Chamber member companies, as well as veterinary inspectors from the Food and Veterinary Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia. Due to high interest, the training will be conducted in 5 groups from 3 to 5 October 2023.
